Tuck Everlasting Special Edition

Tuck Everlasting 45th Anniversary Special Edition

This project is one very dear to my heart, as it celebrates my favorite children’s novel- Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. I designed this cover in honor of the book’s 45th anniversary this year. The cover design was inspired by book design from the 1880s and vintage field guides; based off of the novel’s setting.

Hau Haus

Hau Haus

A fictional rebranding of the Kapuzinergarten Hotel and Restaurant in Breisach, Germany.

Renamed “Hau Haus”, this resort has been owned by the Hau family since 1984. The intent of this rebrand was to create a cohesive brand for the resort that would reflect its welcoming atmosphere, in addition to the beauty of Breisach. The logo and pattern that appear throughout the branding are inspired by the hotel’s architecture, in addition to the surrounding gothic architecture of Breisach. The warm color palette reflects the inviting atmosphere of the resort, while the cool, subdued blue grounds the palette and provides contrast. The overall brand is modern, yet inviting for guests of all ages.

This project earned a Gold Addy Award at the 2021 AAF Buffalo American Advertising Awards.

Into the Mystic

Into the Mystic

From the time I was a little girl, I have been deeply enthralled by magic. I spent every night growing up reading and listening to stories. As a result, I developed a love for fantasy and storytelling. Each year, and especially each summer, I filled my days by writing stories and creating detailed characters. One year, I reimagined my entire neighborhood as a far away kingdom. I was always dreaming up enchanting scenarios for myself, my friends, and my family.

Though I am 22, I feel just as strongly connected to this love and imagination I’ve held onto for my entire life. Now, I am capable of creating things that would have left me in absolute awe as a child. I am able to express these whimsical ideas of mine in a way that fuels me to my core.

A tarot deck tells a story, and each deck is as unique as the next. Each artist has the ability to interpret the traditions of each card in their own way. What makes tarot so beautiful, is that even though these traditions exist, the meaning of each card may vary slightly from person to person, or situation. Though Into the Mystic includes only 12 of the 78 cards it will eventually have, the tale of this deck has a theme surrounding an enchanted forest- all of the flora, fauna, and power within. May these cards guide you along your path, and remind you that you are never too old to believe in magic.
